Project Highlights:

• Upgrade and expansion to an existing 2.4 MGD water reclamation facility
• Minimal impact to the surrounding residential areas that border the plant on three sides
• Facility is located on an island and required extensive, continuous dewatering due to the high water table (2 feet) and tidal influence
• Dewatering accomplished using twenty-nine wells placed around the perimeter of the project
• Project components included site development, building construction, yard process piping, master pumping station, mechanical bar screen, aeration/anoxic basins, secondary clarifiers, WAS and RAS pumping station, filtration, chlorine contact basin, chemical feed system, sludge processing facility, odor control, emergency generator, electrical and instrumentation
