Intermodal Transportation Facility
Parking Structure
Daytona Beach, FL
Community Development Properties (CDP) Volusia Inc., together with Volusia County, selected The Haskell Company to provide design-build finance services for this 1,474-space parking structure and Intermodal Transportation Facility (ITF) located in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The ITF was part of a significant redevelopment effort for Volusia County. One element of the county's plan included development of a two-block area north of the Adam's Mark Hotel and east of A1A, including Ocean Walk Condominiums and Ocean Village.
The new 552,294 s.f. parking structure includes four glass back elevators and provisions for a future pedestrian walkway, which will connect the parking facility with Ocean Walk Condominiums and the beaches. Other features include 10,000 s.f. of future tenant space at the ground floor for an indoor entertainment/video game area and food court for Adventure Landing water park. In addition, Volusia Transportation (VOTRAN) developed and implemented a transit terminal for bus/tram service at the ground floor, which serves as a transfer point for buses, trolleys and trams.
