Manufacturing Facility Addition

When The Trane Company decided to expand its Lynn Haven, Florida manufacturing facility, The Haskell Company was selected to provide design-build services for the addition.

The new construction expanded the company's existing 103,000 s.f. facility to over 355,000 s.f. on a 24-acre site. The existing building manufactured residential air conditioning equipment, but the new facility completely changed the company's production capabilities, enabling production of larger commercial units.

The new expansion included an addition of two manufacturing buildings; a 10,000 s.f. lab building; 13,200 s.f. of office space; and complete renovation of the existing office facility.

This project included placing over 13,000 cubic yards of concrete, along with a specialty isolated foundation for one 500-ton and two 800-ton presses that included the installation of 65 18-inch-round and 52 12-inch-round auger cast piles.

Haskell provided architectural, engineering and construction services, including self-performing all concrete work, carpentry and miscellaneous sitework.
