Flight Training Facility
Dallas, TX
The Haskell Company was selected by FlightSafety International Inc. to design and build a 110,000 s.f. aviation training facility near Dallas, Texas. The new training center is located at Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport.
FlightSafety utilized Haskell's real estate services' division for site acquisition of more than six acres for the project's location. Haskell also provided civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering; architectural and interior design; and site usage development services.
The new training facility includes more than 20 classrooms, featuring complete audio and visual teaching capabilities. Four simulator bays, 7,000 s.f. each, accommodate 16 full-motion flight simulators, which operate 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
The second floor of the simulator areas consists of pre- and post-flight briefing rooms, in addition to computer rooms for the flight simulators, which cover more than 7,200 s.f. of space. In addition, the facility features a cafeteria overlooking one of the many runways, a 50-person dining area, and a physical training room.
