Consolidated Paint/Sandblast Facility

Project Highlights:

• Facility streamlined painting/sandblasting operations into a centralized location which met EPA restrictions and reduced pollution
• 35,000 SF design-build pre-engineered, single-story, metal building housing areas for sandblasting and painting submarine components, some of which are the size of a tractor trailer
• Provided equipment, including compressors, dust collectors, paint/powdercoat/sandblast booths, bake/burn-off ovens and monorail cranes
• Facility also contains administrative spaces, breakrooms, showers, locker rooms and restrooms
• Self-performed the installation of over 90,000 SF of portland cement concrete paving, utilizing Haskell-owned Bidwell concrete paving equipment
• Incorporated sustainable design principles, focusing on energy conservation, recycling and reuse, life-cycle costing, environmental awareness and facility life extension
