PepsiCo’s new Sustainability Center on the ground floor of the PepsiCo Chicago Headquarters at 555 West Monroe Street Chicago, Illinois has received Platinum LEED-CI Certification.  The PepsiCo Chicago Headquarters is located in downtown Chicago in a high density area.

The Sustainability Center will be available for employees, visitors, and the general public, including school groups and will provide an educational experience, which showcases Sustainability Concepts.  The Center will include interactive exhibits, graphic displays, electronic information station, as well as a seating area for informative lectures.  In addition to educational tools, the Center utilizes “Green” products for the construction materials, to further demonstrate Sustainable practices.

Among the highlights of the new Sustainability Center are state of the art wind turbines as well as photovoltaic arrays, which supply power directly to the Center.
